The project, which bid May 7, 2021, consists of 22 miles of road reconstruction and concrete pavement repairs from the Monroe/Wayne County line northerly to 6 Mile Road. Additionally, the project consists of guardrail replacement, bridge rehabilitation, signal upgrades and curb reconstruction among other items.

There is also a significant amount of aggregates on the project:

  • Optimized Aggregate – 270,000 tons
  • Intermediate Aggregate – 136,000 tons
  • Fine Aggregate – 260,000 tons
  • MDOT 4G – 760,000 tons
  • MDOT Class II Sand – 200,000 tons
  • 6A Commercial – 25,000 tons
  • Miscellaneous materials – 30,000 tons
